10 Things I Am Thankful For
(I got tagged by Queennie)

People often complain of what is not present. We often dwell on things we don’t have. Well, for a change I hope we can (even for a while) think of the great things we have. Hope you would share your thoughts too guys…

1. I am thankful for each day I’m alive. Especially back when I got REALLY sick on New Year’s Day this year… Back then, I really thought I might die. So yeah, I’m thankful I’m still alive.

2. I am thankful for being blessed with a beautiful family. They’re beautiful inside and out. They’re amazing and I love them so much.

3. I am also thankful for my true friends. They’ve been with me through thick and thin–through my bad days and not just my good ones. They support me, they understand me, and they make me happy. I hope I do the same for them

4. I am thankful for my two best friends, especially my first real best friend. Not that the second is less appreciated or anything… ;p I used to say I don’t like the term best friend but there really is one or two people you can’t help but be honest with and share everything with.

5. I am thankful for my health! I may be skinny-looking but I tell ya, I’m healthy! Thanks to being brought up by my family as a healthy eater. I love veggies, I love fruits, juices, cheeses, and meats/fowls that aren’t greasy. But I do love eating a couple of sweets here and then. But hey, it’s all in moderation

6. I am thankful for Herbalife! Seriously. It saved my family, both financially and health-wise. Thanks to their products, we are living healthier, no stress, we’re much happier, not much tension anymore, no more worries, and we know that Herbalife can not only give us health but also wealth!

7. I am thankful for my imperfections. I believe those make me who I am. “Unique just like everyone else” is quite paradoxical–nobody is ever the same. I learned never to be jealous, because I know that God made me this way and has given me the blessings I deserve and experiences I need to learn.

8. I am thankful for my job. It’s a good one, the pay is alright, and the workload isn’t always that bad. I’m quite enjoying myself and I’m getting the hang of it. The people aren’t so bad either… I’m quiet around them because, well, I’m still trying to get used to them (even if I’ve been here for about 8 months now).

9. I’m thankful for my God-given talents. I don’t have to enumerate what they are, but I’m thankful I can do those things that other people would kill to just be able to do for a day. I may sometimes feel the same way about others’ talents, but that’s what makes all of us special anyway

10. I am thankful for finishing my education. Not everybody gets this privilege, especially because education costs a lot of money. I’m glad I did well and graduated on time despite the fact that I didn’t really try so hard. I know I could’ve done better during the latter part (esp. in high school and some parts of college), but I did enjoy (most of) my years as a student. I earned friends and experiences along the way as well!

1. It’s my birthday tomorrow. HAHA! Where’s my gift, eh?

2. My given name is Imelda Luzviminda.

3. I’m ambidextrous… Last time I checked. HAHA!

4. I bowl left-handed.

5. I live in an organized mess. Everything seems messy to the naked eye, but I’m obsessive-compulsive that way. Weird.

6. I like to eat Oreos and Cream-Os with peanut butter. I got that from Lindsay Lohan’s version of The Parent Trap.

7. People keep telling me I look like Avril Lavigne and Heart Evangelista. I  DON’T SEE IT.

8. My favorite color is red, but I’m not obsessed with it.

9. Most of my best friends have either moved away or fled the country entirely. Lol. That was an exaggeration. They just move away because their families migrate. Only one best friend is still around and he’s not even an official best friend of mine.

10. My last two best friends are guys.

11. I’m a self-taught computer/internet “whiz” – my dad calls me a scientist and people at home always ask me for help whenever their computers, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets start acting funny.

12. I majored in Journalism when I was in college, but I originally wanted to be in the UST Conservatory of Music.

13. I can “tune out” noise using my mind. In the noisiest of places, or in front of a talkative person, I space out and not hear anything. But I do NOT have a short attention span.

14. I used to twirl batons when I was younger. That’s probably why stuff like zips and arnis are easy for me to take on.

15. I can put my hands in a praying position behind my back. Apparently that’s not normal. Lol.

16. I want a Macbook. NOW.  Yay.

17. I would love to meet Jason Mraz, David Cook and John Mayer because I think they’re musical geniuses. So are Hayley Williams, Josh Farro, Amy Lee and Robert Pattinson.

18.I haven’t been completely starstruck with anybody. YET.

TEN THINGS:

[ one ] I am EXTREMELY fearful of SPIDERS. Push any other insect towards me, I’d scream only if they do something. But spiders? They just sit there and I tremble.

[ two ] I used to be this big closet nerd. I read books about astronomy and outer space when I was young. I’m a frustrated astronaut actually.

[ three ] I’d rather watch a game alone than in the company of someone who’s either not into the game, just there for the sake of “scouting” boys, or not a close friend of mine. Or a combination of the above. Mas enjoy pa ako mag isa, SWEAR.

[ four ] I have conversations with an angel. He’s always watching over me & certain people and I’m so thankful everyday

[ five ] I’m a homebody. I’d rather stay home alone or with a select few than go out partying.

[ six ] I grew up with a now well-known basketball player. I’ve known him practically all my life. But he is NOT and NEVER WAS my boyfriend. (Just to clear the RUMORS spreading.) He’s kinda like a brother actually.

[ seven ] I’m starting to like someone. BADLY. And I never expected it to hit me this quickly. ) And I’m scared his friends already know.

[ eight ] This is my fave number because it’s my BIRTHDAY. But I also use the numbers 14 and 11 on jerseys.

[ nine ] I play guitar, keyboards, sing & write my own songs. Sometimes I let people hear them through the internet, but I’m really too shy to share my “creations” with the world. It’s kind of my outlet when I’m frustrated or sad or angry or whatnot so I don’t really like letting my dirt loose on the public.

10 T’s

• Tigers (UST) – they are my second family. I feel so at home and at ease with them. They’re like brothers, and the coaches are like parents. I’m so thankful I got the chance to be REAL friends with these people.
• TamarawS (FEU) – these are my third family I never expected to be close to these guys, especially since they’re a different school. But I found true friends among the Tams and I’m glad
  Twenty one – ’tis my age, that’s all.
• Toma (liquor) – I drink socially, and I admire bartending (both mixing of drinks and the art), but it takes very long before I even get tipsy ;p
• Tugtugan – I love love LOVE music. Anything that has to do with it: listening to my iPod, downloading music, buying CDs, writing songs, playing guitar/piano, singing (whether on stage/radio, for family/friends, on videoke or just for the heck of it), EVERYTHING. It’s my passion
• Texting – although i don’t die if I don’t have load, I do enjoy text messaging. It’s a great form of communication, especially now that unlimited texting is available.
• Tugegarao (tama ba spelling?) – is the hometown of John Lee Apil. Somehow I knew I’d put him in this meme somewhere. JL ha, I miss you. Thanks for being an angel
• Trust – it’s something I don’t have much for others. Maybe all the betrayal & drama I’ve been through has made me untrusting. I like that I have true friends all this time. Which brings me to…
• True friends – I’m blessed to have them. I won’t namedrop, they know who they are and I appreciate having them around I hope they’ll stay for a very long time
• Ten – jersey number of some of my favorite players. There’s Ron Cabagnot of FEU, and Ryan Reyes of Sta. Lucia. And there’s Rico Maierhofer pa pla. Panay R hah? )
